Smart Tables

Smart tables are used throughout LAMS to display lists of policies, payments, producers, reports, and more. Every user can customize the columns they see and save their preferences. This page explains the customization options available to users, and the configuration options available to administrators.

Each user can choose which columns appear in any smart table:

  1. Open a smart table (for example, Policy Search).
  2. Right-click on any column header to open the column settings panel.
  3. Check the columns you want to see and uncheck those you do not need.
  4. Click Save as Favorite — your preferences are saved per table.

The next time you open the same table, your saved columns load automatically.

  • Global search — Type in the search bar above the table to filter across all visible columns at once.
  • Column filter — Click the filter icon next to any column header to apply a filter specific to that column.
  • Sorting — Click any column header to sort ascending; click again to sort descending.

Use the controls at the bottom of the table to change the number of rows per page or jump to a specific page.

Select multiple rows using the checkboxes on the left, then choose a bulk action from the dropdown above the table (for example, assign to underwriter, export selected, or change status).

Administrators can update the default column layout and available columns for each smart table in Administration > Smart Tables.

Changes to the default configuration affect new users who have not yet saved their own column preferences. Existing user preferences are not overwritten.
