Navigation and User Interface

LAMS has a sidebar navigation menu on the left side of the screen. The menu updates based on your role — you will only see sections that are relevant to your work. This keeps the interface focused and reduces clutter.

Smart tables are the main way LAMS displays lists of policies, payments, reports, and other records. Every smart table has the same set of controls.

  • Search all columns — Use the search bar at the top to filter across every column at once.
  • Filter by column — Click the filter icon on any column header to narrow results by that field.
  • Sort — Click a column header to sort ascending or descending.
  • Paginate — Use the controls at the bottom to move between pages or change how many rows show.
  • Export — Click the export button to download the current view to CSV or Excel.
  • Bulk actions — Select multiple rows and apply an action to all of them at once.

You can save your preferred column layout so it loads automatically every time you visit that screen.

Some operations in LAMS use a multi-step form called a stepper. The stepper shows you exactly where you are in the process and prevents you from skipping required steps.

Common steppers:

  • Quote Stepper — Walks through limit selection, deductible, and premium review
  • Payment Stepper — Guides payment method selection and entry
  • Order to Issue (OTI) — Confirms all binding requirements before a policy is issued
