Certificates of Insurance
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Certificates of Insurance (COIs) provide proof of coverage to third parties such as clients, lenders, or landlords. LAMS generates certificates in the ACORD 27 format, which is the industry standard recognized nationwide.
Types of Certificates
Section titled “Types of Certificates”| Type | When to use |

| Standard Certificate | Proof of coverage for a single product line |
| ACORD 27 | Industry-standard certificate for any third-party requirement |
| Global Certificate | Single certificate covering multiple product lines on the same policy group |
Generating a Certificate

- Open the active policy in Policy Search.
- Navigate to the Certificates tab.
- Click New Certificate.
- Select the certificate type.
- Enter the certificate holder details:
- Name
- Address
- Relationship to insured (if applicable)
- Review the certificate preview — verify that coverage details, limits, and dates are correct.
- Click Generate Certificate.
- Click Download to save the PDF or Email to send it directly.
Global Certificates
Section titled “Global Certificates”A global certificate covers multiple product lines in a single document. To generate one:
- The insured must have active policies for the relevant product lines.
- Navigate to Certificates on any of the linked policies.
- Select Global Certificate as the type.
- LAMS validates that all required product lines have active coverage before generating.

Certificate Requirements by Product Line
Section titled “Certificate Requirements by Product Line”Some product lines have specific certificate requirements. LAMS validates these automatically before allowing a certificate to be generated — if a requirement is not met, you will see an error message explaining what needs to be resolved first.
