Who maintains LAMS?

What insurance products does LAMS support?
Section titled “What insurance products does LAMS support?”LAMS supports 11 product lines: Accountants Standard, Accountants Express, Real Estate Standard, Real Estate Express, Appraiser Express, Cyber Liability, Lawyers Professional, Miscellaneous Professional, Business Owners Policy, Workers Compensation, and Bonds.
Underwriting

Section titled “How do I create a new application?”Navigate to New Business > New Application, select the line of business and state, and work through the application form. See Application Entry for step-by-step instructions.
How many limit options can I show in a quote?
Section titled “How many limit options can I show in a quote?”You can present up to 4 limit selections on a single quote.
What is the Order to Issue (OTI) checklist?
Section titled “What is the Order to Issue (OTI) checklist?”A 5-step verification process that must be completed before a policy number is assigned. All 5 steps must be marked complete before the policy can be issued. See Order to Issue.
When does guidelines validation run?
Section titled “When does guidelines validation run?”Guidelines validation runs automatically when you click Generate Rate. It checks the application data against the carrier’s underwriting rules before a quote is calculated.
Rating
Section titled “Rating”Why is the premium different from what I expected?
Section titled “Why is the premium different from what I expected?”Verify that:
- The correct rate filing is active for the state and line of business
- All underwriting factors (area of practice, territory, credits) are correctly applied
- Revenue and staffing numbers match the submitted application
- Claims history is entered accurately
Does New York have different rating?
Section titled “Does New York have different rating?”Yes. New York has separate rating algorithms for Real Estate Standard, Accountants Express, and Appraisers Express with state-specific rate tables.
What is the minimum premium for cyber?
Section titled “What is the minimum premium for cyber?”Cyber minimum premium varies by limit selection. The minimum is shown on the rating screen for the selected limit.
Accounting
Section titled “Accounting”What payment methods does LAMS accept?
Section titled “What payment methods does LAMS accept?”ACH, check, credit card, wire transfer, and third-party premium finance.
When are installment plans available?
Section titled “When are installment plans available?”Installment plans are available when the policy premium exceeds $6,000, or when a finance company is involved.
How are commissions calculated?
Section titled “How are commissions calculated?”Commission rates are configured per producer and per product line by your administrator. The default carrier commission rate for Lawyers and Miscellaneous lines is 25%. The commission breakdown is visible on every booking entry.
Renewals

Section titled “Which states are excluded from auto-renewal?”California and New York require manual underwriter review for all renewals.
When are renewal solicitation emails sent?
Section titled “When are renewal solicitation emails sent?”Renewal solicitation emails are sent automatically every 10 minutes between 8 AM and 9 PM EST, starting approximately 90 days before the policy expiration date.
Documents
Section titled “Documents”How do I add a new document template?
Section titled “How do I add a new document template?”See Template Management for the upload process and placeholder format. You will need administrator access to upload templates.
Where are PDF documents stored?
Section titled “Where are PDF documents stored?”Documents are stored either on the server’s local filesystem or in cloud storage, depending on how your system is configured. Contact your administrator if you cannot find a document.
Login and Access
Section titled “Login and Access”How do I reset my password?
Section titled “How do I reset my password?”From the login page, click Forgot Password? and follow the instructions. See Login and Authentication.
My session keeps expiring. What can I do?
Section titled “My session keeps expiring. What can I do?”Sessions automatically expire after 8 hours of inactivity. Save your work regularly. If you are being logged out before 8 hours, contact your IT team.
How do I request access to a screen I cannot see?
Section titled “How do I request access to a screen I cannot see?”Contact your system administrator. They can update your role permissions in Administration > Users to grant access to the screens you need.
An account is locked and the user cannot log in. What do I do?
Section titled “An account is locked and the user cannot log in. What do I do?”Accounts lock after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. An administrator can unlock the account from Administration > Users by resetting the user’s password.
